There’s nothing more humbling or igniting to Carmen than leading, and being in community with, our team of creative artists here at Traders Point Christian Church: dancers, band members, vocalists, actors, painters, sculptors, and many more. This group is made up of people with a heart for worship who are wired to offer it back to their Maker in creative ways. These offerings result in transcendent moments in our weekend services, where we’re drawn together into the throne room, filled up by the presence of God, and sent out to build His Kingdom here on earth.
Family: Married to Bill (who Carmen think is way cooler than her – she says that once you get to know him, you’ll see what she means). Four fun kids; a dog, Taylor; and a fish named “Fish”

Best part about her job: Watching people connect with each other and with God as they offer up their unique giftednesss.
Interesting things to know about Carmen:
She once jumped out of an airplane from 8,000 feet. The sun was just about to set over the Colorado Springs Air Force Academy mountains, and they were the last plane allowed to jump because of the time of day. She didn’t want to pull the rip cord when the altimeter read “2,000 feet” because she was having so much fun enjoying the freefall. She obviously did pull the rip cord and now lives to tell about it. She says it was an awesome spiritual experience to enjoy God’s creation from a completely different vantage point – looking down on the orange sun, the purple mountains and all. She highly recommends an extended freefall for anyone considering experiencing the glory and grandeur of God this way!
